Boys, I don't have access to any of my scan gear or many tools. I'm a few hours from home, truck randomly died, I cranked checked fuses relays etc. No dice. I unplugged icp truck fired up, ran like **** but got to where I needed to be. Now I plugged it back in and it started and ran fine. Icp just have a aneurysm or is this the problem I've been hunting and it's finally showed itself? Is it best to use Motorcraft icp or can a guy cheap out on these?
Only Motorcraft for this and beware of fakes. (Avoid fleabay/chinazon - stick with reputable sellers) IPR could also be a culprit. Recently had a truck with bad IPR pigtail cause headaches, so definitely look for wiring issues. Truck should run mostly normal with ICP sensor unplugged. If not, I’d want to do more observation and testing with scan tool. Aftermarket ICP and IPR often don’t work out of the box and rarely last long if they do.
I'm thinking this is a cheap icp problem as it looks fairly new and the previous owner didn't know much. I'm assuming it's a cheap one. Its just a assumption but after hearing what you have said im leaning towards that with it being new looking.

Wouldn't be the first person around here to get bitten by a MiC sensor causing a truck crap the bed.
