any run this brand/model of tire in the snow? my truck came with thes tires (235/75-15) and the tread is like new but the date code says they were made in 2000. they seem to break traction easily on wet pavement, and it makes me wonder how they'll do in the snow.
I have a set of Long Trails on a Cherokee; bought them because they were BFG's and were inexpensive. They are great highway tires; quiet, wear good, and are good riding. Mine seem to do well in the rain also.......
The deepest snow I've had them in was about 4-5 inches. They actually did OK. There was no more spinning than usual, and I have a fairly steep driveway to get out of.
However, if I had it to do over, I would spend a little extra and get the BFG A/T's. I like a more aggressive tread pattern, especially in deeper snow.
