This is the last unknown thing in the wiring (because it is not indicated on the wiring diagrams?), can you confirm to me that what I indicated in the photo is correct ?
And do you know if this resistance is on the heating unit or if it is independent ? because I don't have that in my spare parts and I don't see what it could look like.
If you have and can use Ohm meter you can test the switch.
Set the meter on volts/ohms low scale say 200 ohms.
Put the lead on the brown wire/terminal and the other on the red/black.
Switch the switch and the lowest reading should be the high speed terminal.
Here's a picture of a resistor like what was used. This is the one for 1965-66 trucks (C5TZ), but it is visually very similar to the one for 1961-64 trucks (C1TF). When they are installed on the heater box all that can be seen is the two prongs sticking out not the wire wound resistor.
