Good afternoon, I've acquired a 97' F250 from my neighbor as a Christmas present! He is in his early 80s and can no longer drive the ole truck. I showed interest in purchasing it from him and they wouldn't take my money.
Anywho, I'm gonna be learning a lot on this build and look forward to sharing its progress. Also hope to get some good feed back from the community here. I also have a built 2ndgen Tacoma and am a very active member on TacomaWorld. Looking forward too meeting some folks and discussing the future progress!
As of now I'm in full cleaning mode on the truck as it has sat in the yard for a few years rotting. The amount of crap from mice in the engine bay was discusting. Parked in the yard missing a PS window and ALL the Weather from AZ in the cab!
Welcome to FTE. That sounds like a worthy project vehicle. The folks that hang out in the various forums covering the F250s will be glad to help with what ever issues you might encounter. Don't forget to check out and join the Az state chapter too.

Thanks for the welcome! I’ll be sure to search for the local AZ crew and share with them as well! Lots to learn in the future and hope I can provide some in trade.

Welcome to the forum! We hope you find some useful information here for your project.
Working on navigating the new forum style. Any links to a certain thread/ topic I should look into? Poking around the Big bloc and finding a few threads that may hold some answers. Thanks in advance, Mian goal right now is finding a good source for replacement parts, All the little vacuum lines are shot. I have a service manual arriving at the house today that will hopefully render some P#s.

With the nice long laundry list of things this ole truck is gonna need tending to, I've picked up a 3 piece set service manual from The Motor Bookstore!
Has three thick *** books with all the how toos and step by step for this 97'. Started marking pages and things to note, still cant find anything on the damn Vacuum lines..
I'm hunt some threads and ask around the forum. They seem to be the red, pink, and white that hook up to the EVAP canisters or Charcoil canister?? Ill attach a pic!
Three lines circled in blue are what have broke and rotted away.. Ive found the spots they hook up too, but can't find a replacement part# for them?? Any help is appreciated! I'll post in a few other threads I follow as well, Thanks in advance!
You'll probably be best off replacing with plain old rubber hoses.
I went that route and found a similar diameter tube and reused the rubber fittings they slide into! They hook up to the Vacuum reservoir and found if the are plugged the engine starts to idle lower. Potentially could cause acceleration issues and overall running lean. So i'll be keeping them hooked up.
