Hello,
today I was driving down the road and after 230k miles, my alternator finally decided to die. The question I have today is, how do I determine what size alternator my truck has equipped? When I look online it seems I have the option of either a 150, or 200 amp Motor-craft replacement.
My second question is, if my truck is currently equipped with a 150amp alternator, will a 200amp be interchangeable…and if it is, is there any reason not to upgrade?
Are you sure it's 150 Amp? My 2002 5.4L Gas has a 110 or 115 AMP....I too would like more amperage as I might put a winch on it..
suggestions anyone....
