Engine ID plate????

I posted this question on someone else's thread but was afraid it would be missed.

Where on Earth is the imfamous ID plate on the engine of a 1994 F-150? The "High Performance Ford Engine Parts Interchange" book says it should be either on the front of the intake or by the coil. I have looked everywhere but can't find it. Is there a number on the block somewhere that would tell me what I have? I am starting to think I somehow got a Lightning engine from the factory. Please let me know anything you may know.
Thanks,

The Lightning has an unmistakable intake plenum that looks vaguely like a Crown Vic's, but with "Lightning" cast into it. Read this page.
