@MeTo great it worked out. A $1000 for install doesn't sound that bad not to have scrap knuckles. $3000 is cheaper than replacing the entire system not taking into account where it might go out and then paying for a tow and possible down time with a trailer behind you.
My sentiments exactly. Being a full timer, I have been broke down on the the road.more than once. I'm proactive in preventing that.
No pic, it didn't get done. Plumbing removed, now amputate CP4.
The DCR was installed yesterday. Dustin did a very good job of it. It took about 6 hours. ~ $1000 to install CP4 and fuel filters. There was no dust in any of the intake plumbing, no rust on the fuel pressure regulator and no metallic/sparkly particles or water in the primary fuel filter. After the install, he was happy to answer and bunch of questions. Having installed a number of DCRs, works on diesels regularly and there are OBSs sitting outside, he had a volume of information and advice. That in itself is valuable. I would highly recommend Dustin (ACR Diesel).
After experiencing the install. I'm very happy I didn't try to install it in the desert. When I was younger and had my toy shed, then definitely.
Anyone interested in a low mile CP4 in good shape? OEM tubing too.
I am glad it went well for you. Good luck in your travels.
No, Dustin put the CP4 in a bag and then both the tubing and pump went into the empty S&S box. I asked him if he wanted it, he said no. We both chuckled. He said he always tries to talk people into a DCR, not a CP4. I haven't decided what to do with the CP4? It is low miles and was working fine. Dustin stated he examined everything closely and saw no rust or metallic particles. He has young eyeballs too.

List it here in the Classified section... or maybe someone will see this and send you a PM.
In light of what I have gleaned over the years from FTE. I will give the CP4 and tubing to who ever is willing to pay the actual shipping with PayPal or Zelle?

my forum message account is stuck and can’t send or receive forum messages…so..if you still have the cp4, I’ll send you 250 for it. I want to upgrade it to a +55% pump and want to have an original in case the +55% pump doesn’t work out.
