EFI starting issue
Hello,
I have a 88 5.0 efi that stalled on me and died while back and wouldn’t start and had to pull it home. It goes through spells where it spins over really fast (kinda like the starter isn’t engaging, even though it is) and switches back and fourth where it turns over like normal. Every once in awhile it will start but doesn’t run very good. It does have spark and tested the fuel pressure at the rail, fuel pressure jumps up to where it’s supposed to be but does bleed back off quick (does the same thing tho when it starts and does not start). Only active code was a egr one. I did a tune up few months before this happen (plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coil). Any help would be greatly appreciated! My diagnosing skills are limited and im loosing hope, not sure where to go from here

you could also try leak down after compression check.
