I was plowing snow last night and I barely hit a trash can but it was hard enough to brake my brake light. I do have the Lariet and it does have all the fancy stuff like lane keeper and blind spot sensors and all that which one of the sensors is in the light. I called local dealership today and he said it would ONLY be $1,678.00 + Sales tax. Anyone have a better/cheaper/just as good option?
If you don't need the BLIS system, I would assume the XL/XLT standard lens should go right in along with the appropriate sockets and possible a re-flash..
This is starting to be a common question. If you want to stick with OEM then ebay might have some used options. There are dealers who sell OEM parts online at a discounted price. That might save you a few hundred. There are also aftermarket options.
What are your thoughts on just changing from the stock OEM light I mean $1,600 is a bit high I mean If I bought 50 lights it has the value of a brand new truck I went to gorecon.com and found some LED lights that are $800.00 for both thoughts SKU 264399LEDCL

This blis module should be removed from cracked taillight assembly and put into the new one since its probably undamaged, as it was in my case. Otherwise a new blis module needs to be calibrated, usually done at the dealer.
But my tail lights were xlt level incandescent bulbs, and a complete ebay takeoff from wrecked truck cost me $300.
Doesnt anyone, yet, make an acceptable knockoff SD LED rear tail light? The Ford price is insane.
Ok I have been fairly lazy on replacing this brake light. Does anyone have any suggestions on an aftermarket brake light I could go with rather than the OEM or have a suggestion of a dealership/company I could get it a little more reasonably priced?
