Cab light fuse??

Need truck details.
Check the book that belongs in the glove box.
If I remember correctly it is the 5 amp fuse about 3 or 4 down in the middle row.
Same fuse (again if I remember correctly) if blown will not allow you to shift the transmission out of park.. Again details.
You however did not give details about which truck you are in... Details count.

I've done some more digging through different forums and I have power coming from the headlight switch (brown wire) but no power at the socket, checked with test light. So apparently I'm going to have to start the fun task of tracing wires.
