23 BCM Swap
So I took my 23 in before the holidays for a basic software update to several modules (Prerequisite for UIS system installation). Somehow the BCM got bricked in the process and dealer is waiting on the part. Supposedly had to come from KTP that was obviously shutdown for the holidays, but now they were just told that there is no ETA on the replacement module. I asked about taking one out of another in stock truck, and the tech told the service manager that was not possible (service manager is OK with that approach, and fleet manager is OK to provide a stock donor truck). Just need 100% confirmation from a Ford tech that this approach is technically possible. From my FORScan experience I would think you can just take the as-built from my truck and overwrite the donor BCM once it is on the CAN. Obviously they should have at least this capability with FDRS. I think the tech just doesn't want the extra work of pulling out another module, and then having to fix that truck later once the replacement BCM arrives.
