I need to purchase a ESP plan for my truck today as Im about to hit the 36k mile mark. Went on a couple of different websites and saw there is a big difference in pricing for what seems like the same Premium Plan. Just trying to make sure I'm not missing anything.
Granger is $2810 for a 2020 Diesel 8 year/125k miles and is by far the cheapest!
What web sites did you "look at". Last I looked, Grainger and Flood were exactly the same price. Everyone else was more than those two.
Also, your quote is not for the "Premium Plan" or Premiumcare...........
Your local dealership will be at least 50% higher if not double what Granger sells them for.
My dealership was in fact quite a bit more expensive for the same warranty. They fussed about it for a while claiming there was no way another dealer could sell it cheaper. I printed out the chart (similar to shown above in this thread) and took it with me to the dealership and they reluctantly matched the price.
Maybe it's me but I felt a little better buying it from my dealer since I got it for the same price because now they will be more inclined to help me when I need something. For example, I went with the ExtraCare plan which I'm pretty sure doesn't cover electrical parts like the BCM, but my dealer covered a new BCM, programming, and a ton of diagnostic labor all under the warranty and I paid my $200 deductible and nothing else. That was just a month ago or so.
Sometimes if you show a little loyalty to your dealer they'll return the favor. Certainly can't hurt.
Unless you are planning on this being the last new truck you will ever own, it is worth considering replacing the truck now rather than spending that kind of money on insurance.
You are in Florida, correct? If you are a Florida resident you would see that Granger pricing doesn't apply to you. Not only do Florida residents pay a much higher price, but I don't think Granger is licensed to sell to Florida residents. Are you using an out of state address?
