Worth???

I have 3 and 4 speed trannies for sale from my '50 F-1, both inspected and resealed, just wondering what a fair price would be.

Depends upon which exact 3 and 4 speeds, but probably just a few hundred...

The last time I had a 4 speed crashbox, I struggled to give it away. Times change.

Just like FortyNiner said, I also had a hard time finding a buyer for the crashbox 4-speed. And mine was all cleaned and painted too. I ended up giving it and a bellhousing away after 3 years of trying to sell it.

Interesting that the 4-sp has an integral hogshead. Actually makes it less valuable tho, as hogsheads go for $75 - $100 by themselves.

The 4 speed with the integral hogshead is a pre F Series Warner T8 used on various Ford trucks 1940-47.

Y not watch these guys, If they are buying they will Low ball you every time. Your shipping cost is the big deal. In Texas I usually go to a few car swap meets a year. Those old Transmissions do pretty well. Especially if you clean them up. You already installed new seals you probably have what there offering in it with labor parts and shipping cost. I have a Four speed granny tunnel cover and drive line. Out of my 55 I’ve priced it at 500.00. You pay shipping. And cratering. We are talking about 350. For that. In years to come this old stuff will be your silver mine.AJ

Interestingly, Ford of Canada continued to use the early style 4 speed case well past when US production was using the separate bell section. In my '51 Canadian parts book, this is the only 4 speed case serviced. I see a 1Y hand stamped in the modified blank space ahead of the -7006

That said, as others have mentioned, the market for non-synchro'd transmissions is miniscule. You could sit on that 4 speed for quite some time. And the LD 3 speeds are super common, again without much demand. FYI. If someone offers you money for either, take it.

That's a completely different 4-sp than would be behind a flathead
