6.2 ticking

Hello all ,
First off im not a engineer or a engine builder just a fella with a 2021 F250 with a 6.2 that i was very un happy with do to engine noise heard in the cabin while driving . The rhythmic ticking is not related to a possible intake manifold issue . Dealer said no and i did my own testing as others have done . Only can hear it in the cabin in cold months , im in Michigan . After using a stethoscope i narrowed it down to the fuel injectors , why only in the cold months i have no idea . My fix was using Kilmat on the fuel rails , as you know each side is like a snake , i did the best job i could do trying to cover all sides of the boxed curvy shape . There is a foam cover over the top of the rail which i removed and reinstalled after Kilmat was applied . 90% of the noise is gone in the cabin . Just thought id pass it along i read in the forums people complaining about the noise hoping something isnt wrong internally . I cant see with what i did would harm anything , obviously Ford put a foam pad there to sound proof but not enough .

I think this is my problem after I recently eliminated the intake as the ticking problem. Mine is only audible in cab, and easily heard with no radio noise. Does your ticking increase with rpm?

Good to know, mine has been there all summer, and I purchased it used with the tick. But this sounds like my problem. Any other helpful hints before I dig into it? Dealer was unwilling to correct the problem for you?

Dealer drove it and hooked up their scanner and said all is normal . Seeing that yours is doing it in the summer im not sure if its the same ticking or not . if you do end up putting a deadner on your fuel rail make sure its a quality brand you Dont want a material with an asphalt base
