hello all, i have a problem with my 97 CC f250 where the doors used to lock and unlock with the fob but it doesn't anymore. from the cab the doors would also unlock but not lock which might be a different problem. now when unlocking or locking with the fob the RKE makes a "clicking" noise. the same clicking noise happens when hitting the unlock button inside the cab. nothing happens when hitting the lock button in the cab. I also would like to mention that everything was working before I fixed my rear passenger door's wires inside the black boot from cab to door. after I fixed those wires I had power windows and i was able to lock and unlock the truck a couple times with the fob before it stopped working. It also WASNT a abrupt stoppage. I was at one point able to lock the doors with the fob but not unlock inside cab or with fob (RKE would make the same clicking noise). Now I cant do anything and the RKE just clicks. I have tried swapping RKE, pulling the lock switch on the master switch and jumping the wires directly, (Black [power]) to (pink and light green [unlock]) with same results, I have checked fuses 6 and 8 which are fine as well, and I have checked the wires inside the black boot on the driver door which are all intact except for a dark gray and orange wire, but even that is intact, just chafed. All of the doors lock and unlock, and all but 1 window works, (driver rear). I have also made sure that the wires in the driver rear were not touching causing a short which did nothing for me. I am at a loss for words. Any help?
Yes on the front and middle mounts
cab mounts isolate the cab from frame electrically
i found one on the middle cab mount passenger side but that’s it. i can’t seem to locate the others. also for the interior i found 2 ground wires on the driver and passenger side one under the hood latch and the other in the same general area on the other side. am i missing anything?
