Yeah, my hopes are to do a frame off one day but for now Monstaliner is gonna look just fine then I can make sure she stays mechanically sound while I build my 460.
What I wouldn't mind doing is getting a new transmission and transfer when I do the engine swap. I'll probably try and find a rolling frame somewhere that I can prep for a new body then just transfer the drive train over.
I don't know enough to be able to give any better options, C6's are supposed to be one of the toughest transmissions . I took the one out of my pickup in favour of an AOD ,the C6 made it too sluggish behind the 5.8W with the 3.73 rear gears. Some of the other forums on here will be guys with more experience regarding what works..
Raining here today, we took the panel out on Sunday and the pickup yesterday. The pickup turned over the 50.000 kilometre mark.. I think the panel is parked again for the winter, the pickup might be too..
