460 fuel issues

460 fuel issues

I have a 97 f250 efi 460 having issues with midship tank. Fuel pump was recently replaced and I can hear the pump kick on when I turn the key to run position. Truck will start initially but will sputter and die in about 5 seconds after starting when front tank is selected. Truck runs fine when rear tank is selected. Any ideas on what could be causing this issue?

The front pump. You need to put a fuel pressure gauge on it to see what is happening/ causing it to stall.

I agree. Put a fuel pressure gauge on it and see what the fuel pressure is doing. The big auto parts stores loan them out for free. It so easy to check the fuel pressure on these trucks, you could probably do it in their parking lot if they don't notice. Should take you 5 minutes.
