Had sway stops on my 2016. Removed them when I added airbags. Put them on my 2023 until I put on airbags. They engaged the overloads quickly with about a 1/4” gap between them and the overloads. Only negative is the empty ride is a bit stiffer.
Yeah I had Timbrens on my last truck. I actually loved them. Stock ride 99% of the time but handled loads perfectly with no excessive squat.
I think I might try the Sumosprings this time. Looks like that will be easier than fooling with leaf springs.
As I said the Timbrens will definitely refuse squat and I agree IF you install the correct t ones they have no effect on ride when empty but loaded they beat you to death.....and my 5th wheel!! They basically illuminate any spring effect.
I changed the bump stops to 2" and the overload now engages much quicker. I quit using the airbags after doing this, plus with bags, it increased the sway when on the bags.
"changed the bump stops to 2". are you saying the bump stops hit with 2" sag before you eliminate the usefulness of the springs?
Here is my Torklift Stableload with no weight on it.
If you want level with a working load on it, you will have to go back to the work truck look with 2 inches more rake in the back.

not necessarily true. The right set of air bags can give a better option when it comes to a nice stance whether loaded or unloaded.
add in onboard compressor and it’s a real nice setup to have. It just costs more.

The OP asked for suggestions and already took aribags off... "I took the air bag kit off this truck when I bought it because I don't like fooling around with air bags and because even fully deflated they still affected the ride quality when unloaded."
So my F-250 has the 3-leaf rear spring pack. I read that the "camper package" gave the F-250 an additional overload spring and brackets to mount to the frame to help when hauling/towing heavy weight. Does anybody know if there's a kit or part # you can purchase to add this to a truck that didn't originally come with it?
I took the air bag kit off this truck when I bought it because I don't like fooling around with air bags and because even fully deflated they still affected the ride quality when unloaded. I'd rather just do the OE camper package spring upgrade. But part #s are hard to track down.
I looked a bit on the www and could not find the part numbers the easy way. Ask your local dealer to find it for you.
You can go to a spring shop and ask them to help.
seem to see too many of this brand/style getting torn up and falling apart
the SuperSways seem to be more durable. Both have the same concept though.
I have had mine on 1.5 years now and mine are always in contact with the overload as my truck camper doesn't come off the truck. I actually bought mine used so I have no idea how old they are but they are working perfectly so far.
And since you stated they are commonly failing i googled and only found one report of them failing.

as I said in an earlier posti asked my dealer that exact question for my new at the time 2020 F-250. He said it was not avaailable as I would be overloading the truck! I answered but if I has asked when The truck was ordered you would have do it for several hundred dollars and called it a camper package! After all the frame is all pre-drilled and threaded
Not sure if or where you could source only the upper "auxiliary" leaf, but look into this part# for a whole leaf pack HC3Z5560Y. The best, most reliable way to determine if that is the correct leaf pack would be using the VIN from the appropriate year and configuration of F-250. The other related parts and part #'s shouldn't be hard to locate.
