After two failed repairs of my radiator , I would like to know if the transmission cooler part of a Ford radiator flows if you have it installed with a manual transmission & the trans lines are plugged off
How does the coolant flow in an install as described , mine !!!
P.O installed it
If the transmission cooler lines are plugged, the radiator will still function as intended. The way most of these types of radiators are built is they have a smaller, standalone cooler built into the larger radiator. These types of radiators make me cringe a little bit as I use to manage a warranty team for a major parts supplier and we would see where the trans coolers would fail and leak into the radiator or vice versa.

Ok , thank-you very much . So , the two are completely separate !!!
I started this thread wondering if radiator has old antifreeze in the transmission part of cooler that may have corroded thus causing the very slow seepage of fluid out of radiator
I will look more closely at the radiator to see if leak is close to the transmission part & will try to remove one or both of the plugs for the transmission lines to see if anything comes out ?
Have taken said radiator twice to be repaired and it still leaks Will ask repair guy if he checked the transmission part of radiator
Was not charged 2nd time , hopefully will not be charged this time either
