Is there any interest in a complete 1954 F100 chassis? Includes inline 6 and manual 3 speed. Putting a Roadster Shop chassis under it and have no need for original chassis.

location location location! Price price price?
are you in Iowa? It's not cost effective to travel the country for a frame in my opinion but I'd be interested in a few pieces
I am in Waterloo Iowa. Have no idea on price for complete chassis. If no interest for full chassis I will part out. Chassis won't be removed from body until summer. Shoot me a PM on what you want and what you want to pay. Whatever I do not sell I will take to scrap yard for scrap price so will ing to sell parts very reasonable+ shipping..
I went the Roadster Shop route as well for my 1949 Mercury M-47 restoration. Damn expensive, but well worth it in the long run for all of the modern and performance goodies like beefy frame and suspension, 4-wheel disc brakes, power steering, and heavy duty rear-end options to handle a high horsepower engine. I sold my old rolling chassis, running flathead, 4-speed tranny, and rusted out panels WAY to cheap just to get rid of it. I wish I hadn't sold it all so cheap. I am selling a complete Model A coupe frame should say I sold it. Will be gone when I get the body off. I could have gotten more but like Ebear said I would be walking around it for awhile. Makes the the new rolling chassis more affordable.
No rust. Came from SW Arizona. I have title, but it has to stay with body so I can register it per our rules.
Your new chassis will come with its own papers, a manufacturer statement of origin, which is what the truck should be registered with if the chassis is swapped. Titles always follow the frame. A frame has no value if someone else is using the vin from it. You can't even scrap it without cutting it up.

Most if not all states title by VIN on the frame, so the title would have to go with the frame to be useful. As for your body swap, Iowa Administrative Code 761.400.51 looks to say a body swap only needs a Bill of Sale (with the donor body VIN and seller info on it) at the time of the examiners inspection and not necessarily the title. (Disclaimer: not a lawyer)

I believe you are correct.
SEMA pushed for a Federal law change back in 2017 for this very issue. I think they worked out the details by 2019. It allows folks to register the vehicles with new frames, and yet keep the original designation, except it will say replica at the end.
Example:
1954 Ford F-100 Replica
This way the chassis number will match the new title.
Can you imagine getting into a major wreck and the insurance investigator finds out the insurance was paid on a vehicle that did not match the frame on the vehicle in the wreck. Since the frame is the vehicle, I would think they could claim they did not insure that vehicle.
