I was looking into leveling my 95 4x4. It sits about 2.5 to 3 inches higher in the rear in bone stock form. I don't really want to get into the front leveling kits as alignments on these trucks are a pain in the wallet. My thoughts to level the truck is to remove the factory 2 inch lift blocks between rear axel and leaf springs. I know my wife would thank me as she has a hard time getting into the truck as it sits.
Other than needing new U bolts or using some spacers on the stock ones, will removing the lift blocks from the rear cause any issues with the stock shocks or driveshaft angle?
I don't do any heavy hauling or towing with the truck. The most weight it will ever see is my 500 pound 4 wheeler.

Thanks,

I removed the ones from my truck after installing f250 springs. I have had no issues. Just make sure to get the right length ubolts
If its about ease of entry...a hoop step or a tube step might be easier. To your original question I would thing the slip yoke on the driveshaft would handle it but you might have to get a shorter shock.
I can't see removing those blocks making much difference on the cab entry height. Adding a step as mentioned is probably your best cance for helping getting in and out.

I already have the loop steps on the truck. The couple inches should help some. Trying to figure out a grab handle for her as well, but don't really want to put it on the exterior of the truck.
Something on the windshield pillar inside the truck would be my preference.
Neither my Wife or I are spring chickens anymore
