2100D carburetor jets

Calling all FTE carburetor experts! I need some sage advice.

My truck is a '73 F100 with stock 360-2V engine and C6 automatic trans. It used to have EGR but that has been removed and replaced with a spacer. I am building up a 2100D carburetor for this engine. I have two 2100D "parts carbs" here also; both of these were aftermarket rebuilds. None of these is the correct original "numbers matching" carb for the truck. The one I'm building came off a '74 360-2V truck with manual trans, and it was a "virgin" carb that had never been messed with. I am using the throttle shaft ***'y from one of the parts carbs to add the auto trans kickdown lever. Starting with three carbs, I have three pairs of jets, as seen in the photo below. Because the markings are not stamped straight on the parts, the bottom of each character is not present, so I'm not certain of the markings. This is a "best guess". The bore diameters are different, as measured with my digital caliper. Crappy cell phone photo:

Top to bottom, they are:

A7F and A9F (they don't match; the first character could be a triangle or "delta")
Bore diameter = 0.50 in.

5AF (the second character could be a triangle or "delta", and the third could be an E)
Bore diameter = .055 in.

57F (the second character could be a Z, and the third could be an E)
Bore diameter = .059 in.

The truck is a "cruiser" and will make occasional trips to the home improvement store or other errands, but it will probably never be used for heavy work. Which set of jets would be best for my situation? I've read that once the EGR is removed, the engine could run lean so larger jets are called for.

Help me, Carbi-wan Kenobi, you're my only hope. . . <silly grin>

Cheers,
Dean

I don't think I would use any of those jets. Check Holley for the appropriate jets for the carb.

Did some internet searching this afternoon. Mike's Carburetor Parts has a list of jet sizes by carb part number. Looks like most of the '73 truck carbs use .055 in. jets. Some use smaller jets, but I'm guessing they may be for high altitude applications. I'm going to try the .055's and see how they perform. I can always experiment further if necessary.

By the way, Holley jets and Motorcraft jets have different threads, so not interchangeable.

I thought Holley made those carbs.
