2012 F250 interior lights flashing

I have a 2012 F250 Superduty. Had a faulty ignition switch that drained my battery completely and the truck had set for 3-4 days. Once started, my interior lights started flashing constantly and would not stop. I found discussions of it maybe being related to the TPMS. My tire sensors have never worked since I bought the truck used 3 years ago but I wasn't really concerned with it and the interior lights never flashed. I had new sensors installed to try to eliminate the flashing (not at the dealership). They had a difficult time getting the truck to recognize the sensors but finally did and the lights stopped flashing. However, after shutting the truck off and restarting, it throws a TPMS warning and the interior lights start flashing again. I disconnected the battery for a couple of days hoping the computer might reset and stop the flashing but without success. I've ordered an OBD cable and hoping FORSCAN might help but haven't received it yet. Anyone with any ideas?

Interior light flashing is telling you there are faults stored in the BCM and/or the something is not configured correctly in the module. same thing happened on my 2011 truck.

put the truck into programming mode and use one of these tools to calibrate the TPMS sensors to the truck -
Amazon Amazon

watch this video on how to get the vehicle into programming mode. skip to the 3 min mark for the details -

I picked up the TPMS tool and still could not get the sensors to stay connected after successful programming. Once my cable showed up and I was able to connect to the truck through Forscan I found one of the fields in the BCM for the TPMS was different than listed for my truck's "As Built" data. Once I changed it to the original settings my TPMS problem was resolved.

Unfortunately that did not fix my interior light flashing problem. I have two DTCs that are likely tied together and probably the cause of my flashing lights as you indicated. U2100 - Initial Configuration Not Complete, and U0422 - Invalid Data Received From The Body Control Module.

Researching, I have disconnected the battery two times hoping to resolve the issue. Once I disconnected the battery for two days before reconnecting it, and the second time I held the disconnected positive and negative cables together for a couple of minutes. Neither effort was successful in clearing the codes or fixing the flashing lights.

Thinking I may have to have the dealership flash it, but hoping someone may have another "fix" I could try first. I appreciate any and all input. Thanks for your help!

It seems to be common for the BCM to fail on 2011-2013 trucks. IF you have access to a Ford IDS service tool, you might be able to try connect and try to reprogram the module. If that fails replacing the BCM might be your only option. Replacement BCM will also need to be programmed and you will to relearn the TPMS sensors to the new BCM.

Thanks for all of your input 96_F250_Deezal, I appreciate it and wanted to give you an update. I have the truck scheduled at a local dealership the middle of this month so we'll see how that goes. I figured in the meantime, I'd still poke at things and have but without any success. Today I hooked up with Forscan and compared all of the BCM lines to the original As Built data I had printed off. What I found were 25 additional lines in my BCM that differ from the As Built data, some are very different. Wondering if a previous owner replaced the computer with one from a scrap yard and didn't have it reprogrammed possibly, idk. That's more than I'm comfortable in changing though, so I figure I'll leave it to the dealership at this point. I'll report back after they're done with it.

Any updates? If the Ford dealer is anything like my local dealer, they keep the vehicle for 2 weeks, never call you, didn't find anything wrong and try to upsell you on $1000 worth of induction cleaning and brake fluid flushes.

Yikes that stinks! Some dealerships are that way, fortunately that wasn't my experience. I dropped my truck off yesterday morning and thoroughly explained what happened and what I had found so far. They did exactly as I thought and downloaded the complete as built file from the Ford servers into my computer. Fixed everything, cost me $240. Thanks again for your help!

Good deal, I figured it was something as easy as loading the correct calibration into the module.
