Brake master cylinder rebuild

After a quick search I could not find a rebuild kit. The kits that I saw were $20-30. That probably because a new master cylinder can be had for less than $50 so why waste your time rebuilding the old one? It is the same as machining rotors. By the time you do that you could have replaced them for the same cost and aren’t left with thinner rotors that are more likely to warp.

I have to rebuild one on a 1955 International fire truck coming up soon
Some of them you cannot buy a new cylinder for and they need to be honed out and new o ring kit installed
Pretty easy but a cheesy repair with repeat repairs (a recheck) right around the corner
The hone out of the rust makes the bore bigger slightly and that is where a recheck comes in
Be glad a kit is not available.
The aluminum cylinders were not designed to be rebuilt or honed out
