thinking about getting an F600 for a project build. looking at a 1969 with split rims and a couple of other older ones that all have six lug typical medium duty wheels for the period. what modern wheel options fit these? i realize that in some ways the easiest option is to swap out the axles and get modern disc setup and jump into a 10 lug or 8 lug setup. that option aside, what can be done with the 6 bolt drum/ axles? thanks
Thanks for the link. Haven't bought the truck yet, researching the build really. I will look into military rims and tires, seems like a decent solution.
I bought an older U-Haul truck cab and chassis that had 9.5 x 22 solid rims on it. Cab was rusted completely out. I paid 500 for it and got the rims and front shock mounts and a practically a new starter of it. Sold the rest for scrap. If you look hard enough they are out there. I took me quite a while to find something.
