Has anybody come up with any clever ideas on how to use all of that empty space in the bottom of the center console that is between the captains chairs?
I have a lot of CD's in the cab...any CD holders that would fit down there?
First thing I did was uploaded all my music to computer then cut my own disk on 700MB disk. It cut my CD’s in the truck by 75% some CD has only had one song I liked, so by burning my own I got as many as 27 songs on one CD. 80 minutes of listening.
Still trying to figure out what to do with the new found space in the console!!!
Someone stole my F250 Super Duty King Ranch center console. The one between the back seats. If anyone is not using theirs and wants to sell it, contact me at jskeen@pmcclubs.com
There is a shop in Pickering, Ontario, Canada called Perfect Audio. The owner, 'Iggy' had a F250 and developed a design for the center console. He fabricates a new console from the floor up. If you didn't know any different, you would think it came from the factory that way. He fabricates it so that in the bottom is a 12" woofer pointing downward with louvers at the bottom that are really cool. Also, you will still maintain space in the console, just not deep as it was before. It looks awesome when he's finished.
For my truck, he is going to fabricate Mixed with a nice surround stereo and the 12" woofer pointing downward. I will have a in-dash DVD player with a 7" LCD screen in the passenger sun-visor and a 11" screen that pops up at the back of the console for the rear-seat passengers to view. Because I have a moon roof, the mounting of a screen above would be too flimsy because of the retractable glass and moon roof mechanism.
The top molded part of the console will be my original. Once finished, the console will sit about 2-3" higher than before. However, it's a class-act and very good utilization of the space.
