I am glad I'm not the only one who felt this way. Test drove a new GMC and could not see over the hood no matter how I adjusted the uncomfortable seat. Haven't had a Ford since 2005, awaiting delivery of a 24 Lariat now and can't wait.
Noticed that when I went from my 2000 to the 2016 Superduty. The 2016 vision over the hood was far worse than the 2000. Didn’t notice any major difference going from the 2016 to the 2023. But the front camera is a plus.
I'm still trying to wrap my head around the Johnny come lately GMC owners that buy a Ford....hate the Ford and still post about how great the is GMC is. Talk about having identity issues.

Don't lump me like that. That GMC isnt mine. I was just next to a guy a work and thought it was a good view.
I do not hate my Ford at all. It is the most perfect truck every built. I do hate Ford as a company and have spent 5 decades bashing on the old front distributor Ford motors. I have a ton of complaints about GM after the 2002 body style change, that dang Gubermint bail out a few years ago and that nasty 700R tranny. When I needed a new truck this f350 nailed 9 out of 10 boxes so I dove 900 miles to buy it.
I see all this hammering on either gas or diesel. I am having a hard time getting my a grip on that. You all scare the bejevies out of a 1st time Ford owner. I may chime in with a dark humor attempt but I am am mainly here to see how the 6.8 and 2023s do in the long run. I tend to keep stuff a long time and maintain vs replace.
But back to business I do like the looks of the simple XL front end better than any other truck on the road. My f350 is the best looking truck ever made.
This is a prime example of Fords sloped hood that I'm not a fan of. All prior truck platforms didn't have that slope with a bigger grill just look better IMO. My '12 doesn't have much of a sloped hood and visibility is excellent.

I think the truck in the picture isn’t a great example. Maybe it’s the way ford dallies are?
Like it’s the stance of this particular truck because mine never has that nose dive look and it’s the same year truck etc. I don’t think it could be much more square than it is without ****ing up the drivers field of vision.
I have plow prep and 295/65s too so maybe it’s the slight ride height increase on mine helping also?

If the chin of the 4wd is so bold compared to the 2wd.Pretty cool view.

I like the slope hood and how it works with the XL front end. The chrome bumper on my Ford is cool. It is not too Mack truck but big enough to stand up and P and still be OK.
2wd is not common and on the endangered species list.
yes sir it is becoming that way
just for ****s and giggles one of my guys with a Chevy 3500 happened to park nose to nose with me today….here’s some front end pics showing differences in size/slope of hood etc
Both trucks stock height with the only modification being the 295/65s toyos on my truck
I like the look of the front end of the F450's with the open middle area. That is one of the reasons I chose to order a F450 over the F350...I liked the grill better haha!
