Coolant leak
Hi guys it’s been a while but it’s that time again. 1997 F250 HD XLT 460 engine. I just developed a coolant leak from the rear of the motor where the auto trans mounts to the motor. I have no hoses leaking or the radiator and heater core is not leaking and as far as I can see there is no fluid on top of the intake near the back. So as usual my fixes are never easy like just change a hose 😩. No oil in the fluid and no fluid in my oil Anybody have any ideas were fluid could be leaking that far back ?? Oh and fluid is nice clear green not mixed with oil or trans fluid ?

Hopefully, it is just an intake manifold gasket. But even those are a PITA to replace with all of the crap on top of the motor that has to be removed to effect the gasket change. Could also be a blown head gasket at the rear of the motor. The problem I have also seen is a cracked block at the back of the rear cylinder water jacket in the bellhousing area if the antifreeze was weak (or non-existent) and it froze...
