Paint prolems????
Hello,
THis is my first time posting here but I like it so far. My question is, Has anyone else with a Oxford white Excursion had any problems with paint?
I was one the internet the other day and I read about some guy noticed pitting on his car. This made me go out and check and sure enough! It was there.... All over the paint
My stupid fault was losing the page because when I went to take to Ford they said they need to this is happening on other ones. My Excursion has 46,000 miles so it's out of factory Warr. What should I do???

Wait. Your dealer is willing to help you out BUT only if you have "internet" proof of it happening?!? 
Try this.
Also post this question in the Super Duty forum. The paint is all the same.
As for "what to do?" talk with your dealer again. I would also have a body shop take a look at it and see what they think is the cause and cure. Maybe a few shops...
Follow and track down every white Super Duty in your town and the surrounding towns. Ask them. Be persistant, especially if it is deemed (independently) to be a manufacture problem.
OH and welcome to FTE! Hopefully you'll stick around and learn about & share in all the good things about The Excursion!

i talked to my dealer and he says that the little spots that look like rust spots are from the dust from your brake pads mixed with water and road salt! i also have a problem with my clear coat bubbling under my passenger mirror. and pealing by my passenger tail light but i have to take it in to let them see it because they have never heard of paint bubbling or pealing. the dealer sid to get rid of the little spots take the works in liquid form not the spray and apply it to the area and let it sit for 20 min to a half our and wash it off. this is what they do for it because they had a few tauruses with that problem. that is wht they told me but they haven't seen it yet .
