rear sway bar
rear sway bar
Hello! What rear ends came stock on 78-79 Bronco? The reason I ask, I want to put a rear sway bar off a 1979 Bronco on my 77 F100 that has a Dana 44 rear end. If the Broncos came with Ford 9" rears, will the 78-79 Bronco rear sway bar work on my Dana 44? Thanks

9 inch came stock 31 spline
I would assume the rear sway bars differ in the axle mounting
You might have to modify it to fit your axle tubes
Your Dana 44 rear end is out of what?
Maybe find a newer sway bar off say a 96 Bronco with an 8.8
Those might have similar axle tubes and work out easier

Mounted my rear sway bar today. Just reporting back to make it official. A rear sway bar from a 78-79 Bronco bolts right up to a 1977 F100, no frame drilling required. Even though I have a Dana 44 rear and not a 9", there's still plenty of room between the sway bar and the cover of the pumpkin. Thanks for all the input guys!
