I finally got my 1982 F150 running after sitting up 20 years. I drove it around my house and
field when the wiper linkage came loose. I want to be sure it does not come off again. It has a rubber piece that holds it together. The rubber spins when the wipers move. When the piece is cold it is harder to spin. I had it in the sun and it spun easier. Is there a place to buy a new one? And should it be lubricated? I is hard to get to so I dont want to put it back together and have to do this again. Any help is appreciated.
Yes you can lube the pivots I think something like WD40 or the like.
As for that part I never looked that close at it to see how it is put together to say how to go about a fix?
Might check with LMC or DC or JBGY to see what they may list for it but if me I think I would get a new linkage assy. to replace what you got.
