new mod for inline six?

thinking of doing a cold air intake with some pipes from home depot and a home made box to conect to the carb and a filter to put at the end going towards the grill so it can ger more air in.

I only have two questions about this.

1. where would connect the breather

2. The silver thing that the air cleaner that looks like an air duct.

thanks

Herm,

Ya might try askjng Torque1st in the 73-79 forum. He build a custom Cold air box for his truck out of the stock breather. I'm just goin by memory on this so i'm not 100% this is what he did. He picked up a share breather to rob only the freash air inlet tube from it, mounted it to the other side of his breather so it points toward the front and mounted another Freash air hose and ran it to the frontend of the truck making like the old style cowl induction system. Thus should be like what your talking about building and get out way cheaper. Hope this helps.
