Hey all - I'm new to the forum. I searched and found some references, mostly older, but not exactly what I'm looking for.
I'm shopping for locking storage to go under the rear seat in my '22 F-350 crew cab. I see two options so far, the Du-Ha and the Tuffy. The Tuffy is more expensive, but steel instead of plastic. Anyone have experience with these recently, or suggestions for something else?
I've thought about whether I could somehow just bolt in a home safe, like a Honeywell or Sentry kind of thing. Anyone try something like that?
I have this DeeZee one, the advantage is the drawer slides out so you dont have to lift the seats. Its metal and it locks.
especially useful if you have child seats
I was planning on storing rifles there to keep them out of sight and locked but instead filled it with tools.
looks like the price went up though. I not sure I would buy it again. Being a slide it loses storage space. And the latches sometimes open unless you lock them with the key.

Thanks. I haven't seen that one. I do like the slide out feature instead of having to lift the seat. From the instructions it looks like someone could remove the bolts and get the whole thing out of there, even without the key. Is that right?
I have the Tuffy rear underseat box and their center console lock box. I ended up drilling a couple of holes in the rear seat box so that I could utilize a factory nut that used to hold the factory plastic try organizer in place
You are not going to simply lift up on my box and try to rip it out. If you end up ordering both you can contact the factory to let them know and they will key both locks the same
Do your rear seats have the key locks in them (key slot in the plastic cover near the outboard hinge)? Both my 2017 & 2022 KR trucks came with the OEM under-seat box, and the rear seats can be key-locked in the down position.
