Power running board operation

When did they switch the module to control both sides of the boards at the same time? On my '24 they both drop when I open the drivers door and I dont see a way to make them independent from each other. 99% of the time it's just me using the truck so it's dumb for both boards to drop... I have also noticed that they changed something in the motors that make them noisier then my prior '17, '20, and '22's boards ever were.

I’ve heard the both board drop thing discussed and it seems to have started with the 23’s. Apparently no setting changes known yet.

Seems like an odd change as I don’t think this would even be a cost cutting measure.

I wonder if it can be changed in ForScan…

Don't the running boards now deploy by simply unlocking the truck, without actually opening a door? I could see both sides deploying in that case since they really don't know which door will be opened.
