the map files require a usb and manual intervention



that why I use my iphone via google maps for nav...it interfaces into car play and is always up to date.

 

There have been some updates to Sync4, allowing full screen CarPlay, etc.

 

I'm in this boat also, but I lost my old account on here so now I've got to get my 5 messages before I can send @ZooDad a pm. I've went through the phone support with ford pass also.

Just want to add my experience…..

I used Zoodad’s cable, etc. and after about 5 or 6 hours I was updated. But then no OTA updates seemed to occur. I ended up taking my truck off my house WiFi and just let it reply on cellular. Then, when parked in my garage I kept a trickle charger on it, parking brake on and headlight switch in off position.

I don’t think I ever got an update when parked in the garage, but got 2 or 3 updates while using it around town. And the most resent update updated the software and the Sync 4 version.

Hi - I am a new member also with a 2022 F450 not receiving updates. Just got back from my dealer who told me since I am out of my 3year 36k warranty, this is not covered nor does the extended warranty they sold me help. They wanted to charge me a $196 diagnostic fee to determine if modules were bad and only then would the extended warranty cover the module replacement. Very disappointing especially since I opened a case with Ford myself 6 months ago which was before my 36 months ran out :-(

I’m having the same problem when trying to update it says it is up to date @ZooDad are you still offering this fix?

 

Ford says, "We have technology so advanced even we don't know how it works". They fixed this issue on mine under warranty but it took them 14 days to do it. smh.

 

New to the forum. I just purchased a 2022 F350 King Ranch and I don't think it has ever updated over the air. It is still on Sync 4 rev. 183. @ZooDad Are you still providing a solution for those of us with stuck updates? My local dealership is trash and I am long out of warranty.

 

I understand @ZooDad is the master of this. I have a 2022 F-450 Limited that I just had serviced. They told me it had 9 updates and they performed them. However, apparently none of them were to Sync. So I'm still not getting OTA's and I'm still on 22026_Product revision 354 At this point I don't want to take it back to them but would like my Sync to be up to date along with all of the functionality it brings. It wasn't until I found this forum that I realized how out of date it was. Hoping you can help.

 

@ZooDad dealer reset the gwm today and although now app updates are turned on in the fordpass app its still showing no updates available and im still on 22026 revision 354. I know im still too new to pm. Hoping I can get in the queue to run the other updates and get it connected.

 

@ZooDad are you still helping out with the OTA update issues? I just got my 2022 F-350 Lariat with the 12" sync 4 system and I it doesn't look like it is running the latest update.
