4.4 mpg, on the downhill maybe.
my 5.3L Vortec in my Suburban averaged 5 mpg pulling our 8k toy hauler over a period of 5 years.... then when the rear diff locked up,
I bought the 7.3L Excursion.

For the curious - Frankenstinky's HPOP "popped" while towing the boat on my vacation this summer. Had to borrow a truck to get the boat back to my water at home, spent the vacation there instead. New HPOP in there (stock) and running better than before - Frankenstinky has been behaving so well that I didn't monitor his ICP/IPR to know the HPOP was fading. Bad Tugly.
