I like the design of that for his particular build, but it does take away from the usefulness of the bed for those of us who actually still use these as "trucks" around the house/farm. Still...very nice work on it.

I agree. It looks good and is period correct.
The Ford logo is a nice touch. Maybe an older style logo would also be nice looking.

The emblem is actually a repro of a 34 ford truck hood emblem

I remember when I was growing up that my parents had some old car stuff in the basement. One item was a chest/trunk that I was told came off the back of a Hupmobile car. As I recall, the trunk in the red trunk was the same as the one I had seen in our basement. I remember talking to the owner of the red truck about the trunk and he wasn't sure about it's origins...he knew that it was old and he knew he wanted it for his truck. I think that the leather wrap is what really makes it look classy.
