Anyone know what this plug is?

2017 platinum gas 4x4 with every option. It is behind the spare tire. Saw it when I was checking the other plugs up there for corrosion. Everything is working so I’m not sure what is goes to. Maybe the 5th wheel trailer light connection? Regular trailer lights are working just fine.

that is a connector for the 7 pin trailer harness. if you have one in the box then that is probably it, follow the wires

looks like the in bed plugs. Do those plugs work if you have them.

If not then clean those up good and try. Regardless I would seal them up.

Ok so this is the wire coming from the 5th wheel light connection in the bed. I have never had a bed connection so I a little lost here. The wire goes from the bed plug and then splits into the 2 plugs I showed in the picture. Are u suppose to plug the female end into the bumper plug to get power? Seems really strange.

so you should have a 7 pin connection at the bumper.

Then if you have the 5th wheel prep you will have the same plug in the bed of the truck.

It appears to me that you don't have the in-bed connection therefore you have to plug exposed as in your picture.

Do you have an in-bed 7 pin connection?
