Short term replacement seat
I have searched about an hours worth of old threads and I still don't have a simple answer. I have a 92 f150 extended cab with captain seats, I'm getting the drivers seat reupholstered. I need something I can just bolt in and sit on until my seat is done

Any 9th gen Ford truck with captain's seats will work. This sounds like it's time for a junkyard treasure hunt. I always check craigslist in my area because all the yards post their vehicles so I can tell in advance whether I need to visit them.

Thanks, junkyards around here not that high class, they don't post anything. Most of them do have a fair share of 9th gen Fords, just need to get out there and start looking

Can't say for certain that this would apply to F150 buckets, but Ford used the same seat pan bolt spacing on several vehicles, (Mustang and Ranger come to mind). Simple matter of changing the rails to accomodate any seat to any body. Check the wreckers with tape measure in hand.

Keep your frame, pass seat should drop right on it. Spring boxes same, foam same, etc.
I rebuild driver seats from pass seats all the time. Been doing this for about 20 years on various vehicles.

Good to know Hit Man X, I've been looking for drivers side seats that matched for months finally give up and decided to go the upholstery route. I've run across two or three passenger seats with matching fabric, guess I need to do a little backtracking
