Too much of a PITA as with most any other warranties, and as time was of the essence nobody had the time to dick around with it, lesson learned, moving forward with more knowledge.

It looks like it would take 2 hours of a persons time to file a claim if that. I don't see how losing an engine is more of a pita than getting reimbursed.
How long does it take to get a sample, you gotta drain the oil anyhow...
WHAT IS REQUIRED TO MAKE A CLAIM:
• AMSOIL requires a six (6) ounce representative oil sample taken from the failed equipment. Such sample must be placed into a
clean, dry container for warranty claims filed with AMSOIL.
• If there is engine damage and the vehicle is under warranty, file a warranty claim with the OEM. If the OEM denies the warranty claim,
the Consumer must provide a written copy of the OEM’s warranty denial if such denial is based on use of an AMSOIL lubricant.
• Notify AMSOIL at (715) 399-8324 immediately. In the alternative, you may mail a claim notice, along with the OEM denial to
AMSOIL INC., ATTN: Technical Services, One AMSOIL Center, Superior, WI 54880, postmarked within 30 days of failure or
alleged defect.
• Keep the failed parts for inspection by AMSOIL, unless given to the OEM.
• Mail, at your expense, the following items to AMSOIL INC., ATTN: Technical Services, One AMSOIL Center, Superior, WI 54880:
- The six (6) ounce representative oil sample (see above).
- Documentation describing the make, model and year of equipment, total accumulated miles and/or hours and duty cycle or
service environment.
- Equipment or vehicle maintenance history documentation including miles or hours at the time of AMSOIL lubricant installation,
general equipment repairs and oil analysis results if available.
- Proof of purchase for AMSOIL lubricant (if available).
- Batch number from oil container or Certificate of Analysis (if available).
- The OEM warranty denial, if applicable, and claim notice (if not previously provided).
• If your claim is approved, you will be reimbursed this mailing expense.

why are you acting butthurt because I disagreed with your opinion? I do read the the spec sheets of the oil I run.
Like I said I don't care what you run but your opinion is wrong. or my 86 460 is lying to me and hiding all those oil leaks from running synthetic.
You speak of science and in same sentence you ignore it.
lord forbid a random internet guy questions you on your outdated oil knowledge.

And then after all that, they arbitrarily deny the claim at which point you have to hire an independent organization to do an analysis and then hire lawyers to pursue legal action at which point you will have paid more than the engine was worth. I wouldn't have bothered with it either.

You're hired for the pay of 2 hrs to file the claim and follow up for re-imbursement, if I ever use amsoil and it happens again 👍

That's pretty funny, I'm saying follow the recommendations of the oil manufacturer. you say ignore them listen to me, and I'm the one with a problem?

It's common knowledge the synthetic can leak worse than conventional oil, I don't care if your '86 whatever doesn't leak any worse with it. I make my living with a fleet of equipment and on some components it will void the warranty if you use synthetic, BECAUSE IT WILL LEAK. I'm not saying synthetic is bad, it's great, but it can leak where you didn't have a leak prior.

Whatever, t I'm using what's recommended. be a hero if you want.

Synthetic or Conventional with High Mileage additives if worries about leaks.

rotella vs Mobil

I have used Rotella T4. 15-40 Diesel in my 6th Gen Fords. Have a new '73 F-250 that has always had Mobil Diesel. Any issues with next oil change using Rotella?? Thx

About that mention I made of Chevron Delo 400 LE 15w40 ... "is a mixed fleet motor oil recommended for naturally aspirated and turbocharged four-stroke diesel engines and four-stroke gasoline engines in which the API CJ-4 service category and SAE 15W-40 viscosity grade are recommended."
API: SM, CJ-4

Zinc, mass % 0.13
Delo-400-LE-SAE-15W-40-Technical-Datasheet.pdf (sclubricants.com)
I have a few gallons yet, I shake it well upon opening. It sure made the transmission of my two Gold Wings shift smoother as they share the engine oil too.
