Used the stuff for fifty years.
There's probably better, but what works, works for me.

I use lucas 15-40, high TBN.
Seems to last longer and I don't need to add any between oil changes. Truck has like 125,000 on it. Always run a motorcraft filter.

Amsoil 15-40 extended tested a 25000 miles and still has life in it

i use valvoline 5w40 with motorcraft filters. but i bought a case of champion blue flame 5w40 at diesel nationals...they were selling for 80 a case(4 gal) that will be my next oil change
