I've got a 2021 that I've had since Nov 2021. I use wireless Android Auto all the time and have not had connection issues until the last month or so. All of a sudden it's consistently disconnecting. The bluetooth connection is good....I can stream music over bluetooth, but Android Auto says it's lost connection. If I try to re-connect, I can get it to connect, but it'll only last for about 30 seconds or so and it loses connection again.
First Ill say I have no clue why it does it. I just came to say that I have a 22 and its always had issues with the wireless connection and basically the same as you say. Its especially annoying because if you don't want to pay extra for Fords navigation when the phone discos you lose your nav and it loves to do it at the most inopportune times.
Its so bad that I have annoyingly resorted to just plugging the phone in every time I get into the truck but this is a stupid workaround.
I have had a problem with my Android disconnecting from Android Auto in my 2023 XLT. Sometime even using wired does not work at that point. I wish there was a reset button that would reset whatever in the truck is causing this. It never happens when using an AA wireless adaptor in my Hyundai.
Just remove them with the Sinc and reconnect. If it doesn't fix it do it again until it does.
Sinc xux! I could also add if you live near a large city just drive down there and do it all again. %G5 Sux.
Sure 5G is all about kids walking home and playing games. Haha
Yeah try a different phone. Some phones become damaged electronically via microwave radiation. Especially around microwave sources. Don't ever put a phone in a microwave. Even 1 second is enough to cook the networking and more on some. Cook on high for best results 1 second and flakey delicious Bluetooth. Phone may still work but never ever connect reliably.
Remedy. Roll back from Buggy Android 14 on new phone and then lock out future updates with ADB AppControl by disabling the Software Update app that is conveniently hidden on newer phones user interface to enforce the never ending and always under reported seemingly endless security updates. This is forced obsolescence.
Lots of bugs in mirroring apps associated to changes in Android Auto at least in the case of sideloaded apps.
So, I responded above about my Android phone. I upgraded my phone to an Apple 14pro and things are a little better but for some reason when I connect it will play for about 15 seconds, drop everything out, Apple carplay icon goes away, then it resets itself and will work for another 15 seconds or so and do it again. Unplugging and plugging back in doesn't resolve it either. Then the next time I get into the truck everything is fine. I'm really inclined to believe it's a Sync problem and not the phones anymore.
