390 FE bolt Kit
I recently purchased a 390 and have prepared to install it into my 1976 F100. When I took the engine apart, I had an idiot moment and put all of the bolts from the engine in a bucket and now I have no idea what bolts go where! On top of all of that the bucket got water in it and as a result I have a bucket of rust! Most of the bolts have cleaned up nicely, but some are in my opinion pitted beyond use! In searching the internet I have found several bolt kits, but my question is does anyone have a preferred vendor or brand?

You can’t beat ARP fasteners. They have specific engine kits with a choice of finishes. Years ago I bought some ARP intake manifold bolts, but the full engine kit, at the time, wasn’t too much more expensive. I had to cut down the bolts, because Edelbrock manifold was thinner than the stock manifold. It’s always a good idea to bag and tag all hardware and take lots of pictures before during and after the disassembly. Good luck.

Thanks for the info. I was looking at that set in Summit Racing. I would love to keep the stock bolts, but even going through the ultrasonic cleaner and wire wheeling the bolts, I noticed a lot of them pitted and I don’t feel comfortable using them. Thanks for the info, I’m got g to order a set now!!
