Tire size

I currently have 285 75 r 18 on my 2011 f250 super duty. Can I put 265 75 r 18 on my truck and how will this affect my truck other than the speedometer reading?

Your speedometer will read a little bit different (I think 2mph different at 70) but otherwise it won't affect much at all depending on the tire. The tire should be narrower so if you are experiencing any rubbing when turning it should alleviate it.

You're fine, but I can't imagine you liking the look as much with a smaller, narrower tire.

I believe the 265 was the factory size until later years, I know it was a factory offering on '99-07 but in 16" wheels. That said the 285 does fill out the wheel well better and shouldn't rub.

2 sizes of 18 inch tires were available from the factory in 2011.
