They're out of stock most of the time. the DC ones are the only decent ones the import aluminum shells are garbage.
DC sells their own, but most of the vendors resale DC as well. when a run is made LMC and all the other vendors pretty much suck them out of DC's inventory immediately. so you have to go to them to get one and pretty fast before they're gone.
If you call DC and get the right guy in the right mood he can tell you if and approximately when a run will be made if they're scheduled. be ready to jump when they are.

YES, and repops can be hard to find in stock. And then quality repops are expensive. And finding a good to great condition OEM one for sale cheap (lol), might involve buying a complete parts truck to get some good to great big OEM pieces.
Maybe if you can get a "run" schedule you can call in a pre order and PAY to secure you one? Have you tried all the other normal sources?

Thx for the responses. I’m feeling guilty about destroying one I don’t need to save another that I do. These sort of parts are becoming rare and irreplaceable. Needed some exact material for a repair.
