I've read about offsets until my eyes crossed and it seems whatever you find will be contradicted if you keep reading.
Can anyone tell me what offset on a 20x9 wheel and 12.50 x 35 tires will set flush with the factory wheel lip moldings on a f350 4x4? a bit of sidewall outside is okay but no tread sticking out.
I'd have to look it up, but I think the factory 20" wheels are 9" wide, and do not stick tread outside the fenders. So whatever offset the factory wheels have should work for you.
The best positive wheel offset I have found in aftermarket 20x9 is +20mm. +20mm should have the rear wheels just about a half inch past the fender at most, and the front wheels will likely poke out about an inch past the fender. My truck does not have any fender flares, so the poke is a little less with factory fender flares. Those numbers are for tire sidewall sticking out, for tire tread, rear tread is flush, front tread shows about a half inch. +20mm will limit your choices a little, +18mm is more common.

Reason: adding more info

I feel your pain!
I’m in the gathering information/making color choices/tire wheel combos, so when I do order my 2024 F350 all
my ducks are in a row.
It sure is overwhelming at times.
Following along, please keep us posted.
I had seen +25mm for 18x9 once, but I dont remember what wheel, and I am not sure if they also had 20x9 in +25mm. With the wider front axle track width, I think anything other than the factory +40mm offset with a 12.5" tire will stick out in front. If being flush is higher priority, go with 35x11.25 factory tremor size. If I remember correctly, my buddy's F250 Tremor with factory fender flares has the front tires flush and the rear tires in a little.
That size tire is interesting, I don't need the width I want the height.
The front is definitely wider and keeping it flush will mean the rear is still inset, but that's okay. I assume the tremor is the same offset as all other super duties? so would seem it would still be inset front and rear.

You have the wheel lip moldings like the Tremor and two tone trucks have?
The stock wheels are 8" wide with a +40 offset. From what I've seen a 12.5" wide tire on a 9" wide wheel with +18 offset has the tread sitting pretty flush. That's on a SD without fender flares. Any less positive offset and it starts to poke. With the stock fender flares you might be able to do +12 offset without poke but maybe not, +18 is likely the minimum offset you would want. What I would do is search for photos of Super Duty's with both wheel sizes to get an idea of how they sit.
My stocks are 8" wide and +40 which means they've got 6.25" backspacing.
So that's 2.75" of wheel outboard of the hub (you have to add 1" to listed wheel width to get actual face to face width of the wheel, so we're calculating on 9", not 8").
I put a plumb line on my fenders and it looks like I need 0.75" to be flush in the rear ( with stock tires).
A 12.50 width tire is going to be 1/2" wider on the sidewall facing outward.
So I'm looking for 3.00" outboard of the hub to be flush with a 12.50 tire.
For a 9" wide wheel to end up there I'm figuring +48 would be the offset (7.00" of backspace).
I have never found a +48, only +18 so that's going to put the tires at 1.25" of poke. But that's the best I can find.
I have a list of 20x9 wheels with a +20 offset I like and still all are on backorder. it's getting stupid.
Jaycarver, like you I have the flaps and lip moldings, do you notice it throwing much crap outside the wheel well? doesn't look like it would. a +20 offset and 35x11 tires would pull it in a tad also.

I think it’s perfect with the moldings at those specs. If you’re turning in mud it will throw a bit but it’s not bad and everyday driving it doesn’t throw rocks or mud at all. The look is perfect IMO also.
