I'm new to this sight so please let me know if im doing something wrong here........ Recently bought a 2020 F350 crew cab XLT 6.7l. 35K mi. I installed the ford puck system and my old 5th wheel hitch and now want to add the third brake light camera. I've spent a lot of time searching threads on this but the more I look Im just seeing more problems with adding camera. I do have the forscan tool and have used it to turn door chimes off as well as seat belt reminder and fog lights so Im a little familiar with that now.. That being said, my questions are...... Which camera to purchase? does it have to be OEM Ford camera brake light or are there same or better ones that might be a little cheaper that still plug into factory harness. How to add camera with forscan and onto sync3 monitor. Am i able to toggle between the two or split screen to see both? Any help with adding this would be appreciated.
Thanks for the reply, I did look at this, however you need to run wires from third break light to monitor and install a switch to flip between cameras. I was hoping to just use my sync3.
I only have the tailgate camera right now. Thank I think I remember those on forscan but will check shortly. I was hoping that Ford pre-wired for rear camera and it would just be plug and play and then unlock via forscan but with all the threads out there it doesn’t look like that’s the case.
