Do all or most original FORD parts have a part number on it ?
I have a shift collar for a column shift that looks original & came from a private seller in a FORD box that has no part number .
I am fairly sure my current truck collar has a Ford number , & I think I have seen others for sale with a number
The parts themselves often have a casting number on them. The part number might be the same, or similar or different as Ford changed part numbers all the time.
Paraphrasing and channeling Numberdummy on this one.....

They either came in a cardboard box with the part number printed on the box, or a blue and white box with a part number sticker on it. Is there evidence of a part number sticker had been on it? There may be an "engineering number" molded in it on the strut part going from the outer to inner collars.
I will look at box later . I am almost certain my current collar had a official looking group of symbols, I thought was a part number .
Either way , I fear since there is no number at all it is not factory . That is my main concern !!! I will try to post a photo of it . It looks to be well made , and the right size
I have several various photos I have been needing to post , just haven;t yet...
Number did seem to be on a narrow bar , strut looking area plainly & clear , raised symbols .
