Center console workstation.

Hey everyone, new forum guy here. Hoping to get some help with my 2023 350, i ordered it with the worksation in the center seat/console. The issue is that the part that swings out only swings out about 2 or 3 degrees which is kind of pointless, The ford website has pics of the worksation and it looks like it swings out quite a bit more. Has anyone else had this issue? Or just me.

I don’t have the workstation, but this is from the owner’s manual. If it looks like Figure C, that might be all the rotation it will do.

Edit…Welcome to the forum!

i think the pictures/manual are a little misleading, they show the tray rotation more than what I can rotate mine. Maybe I'll check next time I'm at the dealer. Thanks for the help.

Four out of my six trucks have come in, All four are the same.

Definitely doesn't swing as far as what is described.

That’s crazy. This video makes it seem like it should swing out further: Super Duty Workstation

The manual says 11 lockable positions up and down and then 11 more rotatable in 5 degree positions. The only thing I can think of is if it’s too far forward, then it might restrict you from rotating it all the way. Are you able to rotate it further if it’s not extended out all the way?

Definitely should swing out further. 6:39 in this TFL video:

My new 23 F350 is in the penalty box at the dealer for a stop sale recall, If I get a chance to stop by I will check it out and compare to yours.

I have 4 of the same exact trucks in that video, except no push to start.

To be honest I have really haven't spent much time in them, I'll take a closer look at them tomorrow.

Perhaps it needs to be held back a little bit because when it's fully extended swings out it looks like it might hit the steering wheel.

I looked at videos on youtube of the F150 and F250 center console workstation. It sure looks like the F150 swings more than the F250 although hard to tell exactly as the videos were shot from different angles.

Good catch on the push button start, I have watched that video several times and never noticed that. PBS is not available until Lariat trim, that must just be a Frankenstein]-pre-production/media vehicle.

I see no way to get PBS in the order guide for an XL/XLT. My XL had every tech option checked (except pro power onboard) and it has a standard key. PBS is also usually bundled with intelligent access (push button entry) as well,

Mine is doing the same thing, only rotates ~10° or less, not like the video above. Has anyone else solved the mystery? A pretty big waste if it is restricted to such a small amount.

I don't remember if it was STX pkg that comes with PBS, or one of thw XLT pkgs...it was talked about in one of the '23 threads. Here is the first XLT listing that I clicked on, it has the push button start. https://www.northbayford.com/vehicle-summary/used?vin=1FT8W2BT5PED66876&utm_creative=&utm_adgro upid=&store=NORTHBFORD&utm_campaign=Vehicle%20List ing%20Ad&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&gclid=Cj wKCAiA0syqBhBxEiwAeNx9N6ebAcZPqzzmtQfzOfhRLQSYoW_-jgU3FW2_RVnbqXNIcysW6rYlrxoCEe8QAvD_BwE

That’s all they swing. Definitely less than video. Heard a rumor it’s a safety thing so they changed it. I actually hate mine, super uncomfortable and you loose easy access storage. I have the parts in my garage to switch it to a soft lift lid.

I also have PBS on an XLT. Think it’s the XLT Premium that gets it.
