Had studded ones on a Cutlass when I was a teenager, even back then my state wasn't fond of them, they are hard on the roads, but they get a grip, made awesome burnouts in the summer, dad left them on.

Studs here in Utah are only legal to run from October 15th to April 15th. I see people using them year round too.
